The Old Motabower School House

This house is privately owned today and has had some updates.  It was one of many schools built by the Fitzwilliams to help educate those on his lands.  The Motabower School was opened in 1820 and would have been still very much in operation when the children of Thomas Kenny lived in Motabower.  This is located just east of Carnew on the Gorey/Carnew Rd.
