Kennys from Motabower, County Wexford

Summery:

I was searching ancestry.com for information on the Kenny Families that were in the Tomacork, Kennystown, Carnew  area in County Wicklow.  I came across a familiar name of someone whom we shared information back and forth a few years back named Ann Burgess, from Canada.  Ann and I share similar family research interests because we are searching the same families.  We had both lost each others email address' but Ann soon became my newest best friend.  She shared the following information from her hard research:

Here are some various records of Kennys in the Tomacork Parish

There was  an absentee landlord that owned a large section on southern Wicklow, with part of his land going into a section of Wexford.  He evicted thousands of his tenants from his land in the mid 1800's.  Was it for personal gain or for the welfare of his tenants that had lived on this land for hundreds of year?  You decide.

One of the many hundreds of families evicted were Thomas and Ellen Kenny.  Below please find the information on the Fitzwilliam records.

One of the best things that came from having Lord Fitzwilliam as a landlord;  he kept wonderful records on all his tenants.   ( See my "Favorites List")
